A behind-the-scenes look at Google’s Rich Media Gallery redesign
Today, all content needs to be “mobile-optimized” to ensure consumers can access it across screens. But “mobile-optimized” doesn’t mean simply taking what worked on a desktop and resizing it to fit on smaller screens. Successful content needs to be redesigned and rebuilt from the ground up, so that it takes advantage of what mobile devices have to offer and so that the experience is truly seamless across screens.
When Google’s Rich Media Gallery website needed overhauling, the team wanted to make sure that the refreshed website used Google’s Material Design principles and had a mobile-first approach.
