Adobe MAX 2010: Take that Oprah!
- Registration Open: October 23, 2010 - October 27, 2010
- Where: Los Angeles, CA
- Register: Registration not available at this time
In addition to the usual swag normally given, MAX attendees were given Droid 2 phones, a BlackBerry Torch phone, the new BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, and a Logitech Revue/GoogleTV device all of which are Flash and AIR enabled. And to demonstrate the great possibilities associated with the PlayBook, Martha Stewart gave an interesting presentation of her new truly interactive digital magazine.
And rather than showing lots of new features, Monday?s Keynote centered around Adobe?s business strategy and direction relative to new technology and software breakthroughs, as well as hardware and content publishing partners including Google TV. One of the coolest application using Adobe AIR technology was the motion tracking Sentinel Nurf machine gun, 91 minutes into the second keynote or at http://www.thebiggerdesign.com/blog/
This year, SoDA’s unConference series focused on 3 topics. Kicking off the day was Creative/Strategy with SoDA members Matt Griswold of SOAP Creative, Tim Richards of BLITZ, Garth Braithwaite of Rain, Matt Farrar of Great Fridays and Pat Berry of Colossal Squid moderating the discussion. This was followed by the Developers/Programming discussion with Joshua Hirsch of Big Spaceship, Charles Duncan of IQ Interactive, Peter Gustafson of Rockfish Interactive, Oscar Trelles of Domani Studios and David Mears also of Rockfish Interactive and closing SoDA’s day was SODA agency CEO’s Anthony Franco of EffectiveUI, Daniel Conner of StruckAxiom, Andrew Howlett of Rain, Ivan Todorov of BLITZ and Rob Noble of Great Fridays, discussing the business of digital marketing. One of the highlights was Resn’s success at using the SoDA MSA with its ad agency clients (American). Following our unConferences, SoDA hosted a packed Digerati Mixer at the poolside bar of the nearby Figueroa Hotel.
