  • Tony Quin, Chairman

Tony is a founder of SoDA and Chairman of the Board. Tony is credited with naming the organization and was one of two founding members to bring the original meeting in Miami to fruition back in 2006. He is also on the board of the Communications School of Elon University. Tony Quin founded IQ in 1995 as an agency specializing in television. In 1999, IQ began the transformation to a digital agency. Today IQ is a full service agency with digital at its core, and counts numerous Fortune 100 companies as clients. Tony is from the UK and still likes warm beer and scotch without ice.

As Board Chairman in 2011 and 2012, Tony has led successful negotiations with major organizational sponsors. In addition, Tony continues to work closely with SoDA’s Executive Director on new ideas and initiatives for SoDA in alignment with the organization’s overall strategy and mission. His vision and leadership as Board Chairman have contributed greatly to the growth and development of the organization over the past 2 years. IQ continues to contribute production services and additional support for SoDA’s many programs and activities as required.

  • Julie Allen
  • Head of Finance, Fuel

As Head of Finance, Julie oversees all financial operations of Fuel Youth. A Certified General Accountant, CPA-CGA, with over 15 years of financial experience, she has spent over 7 years with the studio. During her tenure, Fuel has tripled in size from a single Canadian studio to an international agency with a US presence and clients around the globe. Julie has been an integral part of Fuel’s management team during this significant growth period. She is actively involved in day-to-day operations and human resources as well as finance. Prior to Fuel, Julie was a Financial Analyst in Medical Technologies at Covidien, a publicly traded company. ​ Julie also spent 8 years in finance in the restaurant and hospitality industry. She is currently acting as Secretary to the Fuel Board of Directors and has been in that position for over 2 years. In order to achieve some balance from the demands of the agency, Julie enjoys spending the summer at the cottage, relaxing by the lake and biking.

Kath has worked on both the client and agency sides of digital for the past 14 years. Before starting Deepend Melbourne at the beginning of 2010, Kath held several senior management positions as head of product for companies such as Bluefreeway, realestate.com.au (Australia’s leading realestate website) and SEEK (Australia’s largest employment website) and Nielsen//Netratings. Kath has a background in market research and has worked in countries as diverse as Switzerland and Russia.

Steve Glauberman founded Enlighten in 1983 as one of the nation’s first interactive agencies with a vision for how technology could be used to help companies market their products more effectively. Under Steve’s leadership, Enlighten quickly established a sterling reputation for creating work that was visually stunning, technically powerful, and conceptually groundbreaking. To this day, Enlighten remains committed to creating integrated brand experiences that forge meaningful relationships with consumers by offering a wide range of digital services all within an independent agency. Steve is a graduate in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.

Steve is currently serving on SoDA’s Governance Committee, overseeing the organization’s financials and compliance with 501c6 regulations. Most recently, he spearheaded SoDA’s KPI Survey initiative together with members of the Financial / Operations Peer Group, and volunteered Enlighten’s creative services to design all of SoDA’s print and collateral materials for our events at SXSW 2012.

  • Andrew Howlett
  • Partner / Chief Digital Officer, Rain

Leading Rain since 2003, Andrew has mixed his finance and business background with his digital knowledge to lead company and client strategy from early concept ideation to go-to-market rollouts. Product development is what he really loves to talk about and has helped create one of the world’s largest cloud-based fitness platforms, the most widely used digital platform for sheet music, the largest digital scrapbook application ever created and a leading smart sprinkler controller, as well as many other digital and physical products. Andrew started his career with American Express Equipment Finance and has since started several companies, including Rain. He was once run over by a parade float, has parasailed behind a Chevy S-10 and was held at gunpoint by the FBI, ATF, McCarron Airport Security and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Pauline is the Chief Relationship Officer and Partner at Struck. She covers all aspects of the agency’s operations, and leads the strategy, client relationship and production teams. A crucial part of Struck’s executive team, she is instrumental in the development of all of its strategic plans. In 2012, Struck was awarded Small Agency of the Year for the SouthWest by AdAge. In 2013, Pauline was recognized by Utah Business Magazine as one of “30 Women to Watch.” Pauline holds a Master’s degree in Political Sciences from La Sorbonne, and a degree of Journalism from UCLA.

For over twenty years, Johnathan Tann (JT) has been building creative companies with a focus on digital and mobile. He has spent the last seven years guiding Odopod through a period of significant growth, culminating in its eventual sale to Nurun. His passion for design and the design process informs every aspect of the business and guides how he grows diverse teams to deliver relevant, engaging and useful products and services for clients such as Google, Tesla and Sony. JT also has extensive merger and acquisition experience –successfully completing more than thirty transactions that have created immense value.

Wesley spent 14 years fighting mediocrity in the trenches of digital development, 12 of which as Co-Founder of MediaMonks. He’s the Head of Operations, impervious to stress and addicted to tight deadlines. He’s also a professional tea drinker and a more than decent giver of high-fives. Mediamonks works with and for advertising agencies to craft amazing digital work for global brands with offices in Amsterdam, London, New York and Singapore.

Over the last 4 years, he has led Ratio’s Mobile engagements across iOS, Android, Windows, TV and Web platforms with a focus on creating compelling experiences that meet clients’ brand and business objectives. Russ has led over 100 successful product releases from ideation to launch while at Ratio, helping clients reach millions of users, win awards and build value through their digital strategy.
