SoDA Members Gather at 2013 GMM to Collaborate and Share Best Practices
by Natalie Smith, SoDA / August 30, 2013
Six years after the organization’s first all-member meeting, SoDA welcomed its members to the annual Global Member Meeting (GMM). This year’s event was held in Las Vegas, NV in early August. Member delegates from SoDA’s 70+ member companies traveled from far and wide (including Russia, the UK, Sweden, the Netherlands, Australia, China, Singapore, Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Mexico, Canada, all parts of the US, and other nations) to share knowledge, explore ideas, and build their businesses through active collaboration.
Over the course of this unique event, members defined the agenda and shared insights across a whole range of industry issues. Through whole group discussion, small group breakouts and 1:1 mentoring, members were able to focus on those issues that were most critical for them in order to return home from the event with actionable insights to make their businesses more successful. Take a look at this video to hear first-hand from members at the ’13 event.
Members also had the opportunity to dialogue with SoDA Advisors across a wide array of subject matter domains (including Financial Management, Business Strategy, Legal, M&A), as well as Organizational Partners such as Adobe, Microsoft, Forrester and AgencyAgile.
Throughout the event, members were able to speak candidly, openly and honestly with a group of their C-Level peers. Pauline Ploquin, COO of Struck, summed up the event by stating, “SoDA has always provided a unique and deeply differentiated experience and yet this year managed to raise the bar even further.”
